Sepia Saturday

What a lovely chair! They don't make 'em like this anymore. What a pity.

Here are some chairs from times past:

She looks so uncomfortable.

Sitting on grandma's lap is much better.

  1. Monica has it right, all the chairs look like upholstery fit for a king. Or at least a bishop.

  2. Nice chair finds to match the prompt. They do sort of look like thrones, but I'll take my leather wing-back chair any day! :)

  3. In the first two pictures, the chairs take precedence and look oversized. Not so when the child is the primary focus. And yes, that first girl looks uncomfortable!

  4. That's a regal looking armchair, yet you're right the girl looks uncomfortable.
The second photo is a welcoming one, like those you can find on the front pages of bedtime stories,

  5. Girl posed by chair is the definite winner here -- the wistful look as she stands patiently for her portrait. Priceless!
